SPSS Admission Policies
*Student Screening and Selection
-Must pass the qualifying and admission tests
– With a grade of 85 in English and Araling Panlipunan
-With an average grade of 85.00% (Very Satisfactory) or above
-With good moral character
-Must pass the interview
-Proficient in English(both in oral and written)
-Elementary Graduate
The screening process shall be administered using the rating scale below.
Numeral Rating | Adjectival Value | Specific Description |
5 | Excellent | When all criteria are present. |
4 | Very Satisfactory | With accuracy in the performance but failed in one criterion. |
3 | Satisfactory | With accuracy in the performance but failed in two criteria. |
2 | Fair | With accuracy in the performance but failed in three criteria. |
1 | Poor | Without accuracy in the performance in all criteria. |
Admission Policy
40 slots for the pilot implementation of the SPSS shall be admitted. These qualifiers must undergo assessment, interviews, and screening to fit the most qualified applicants . During the first year (SY 2023-2024) of implementation, only Grade 7 will be catered. In the second year (SY 2024-2025), the school will cater Grade 7 and Grade 8. In the third year (SY 2025-2026, the school will cater Grade 7, 8 and 9. In the fourth year (SY 2026-2027) of implementation, the school will cater Grade 7, 8, 9 and 10.
Retention Required
The student shall maintain an average grade of 85% both in the specialization and general average in the core subjects. Failure to maintain the minimum average grade shall be transferred to the regular curriculum.
All Grade 7 students that maintain an average grade can continue the said program in the succeeding years.
