  • Promote the use of information technology.
  • Increase the capability of learners to pursue their own learning, thus becoming self-sufficient, reliant, and productive individuals.

History and Development

Our dynamic Principal, Dr. Helen B. Aggabao, initiated the Special Program for Students with Special Needs. SPED started in 1999, initially focusing on students with Hearing Impairment (SWHI) under the headship of Ms. Fe Porras. Mr. Edmund Olan and Mrs. Consolacion Tan were the first teachers. Classes were held in a small room at the Admin Building, and the student population grew from 4 students to the present year.

Expansion of Services

  • 2002: The program extended its services to other exceptionalities, including:
    • Students with Mental Retardation (SWMR)
    • Students with Down Syndrome (SWDS)
    • Students with Autism (SWA)
    • A building named GSC (God’s Special Children) was built through the generosity of Mr. Conrado Tiu and his wife.
    • Ms. Hannah G. Concepcion, SPED Coordinator, worked with Joan Delos Reyes, Norilyn Dacumos, and Evangelina Casiano for the benefit of the students under the supervision of Mr. Romeo G. Espiritu.
  • 2004: The program began catering to students with Visual Impairment (SWVI) with Dr. Eva P. Unay as the SPED Head. Teacher Jocelyn Sison immersed the VI students in an inclusive program where they attended regular classes.
